The care they received was second to none—they were truly treated as part of the family and didn’t want to come home. Daisy is especially nervous around other dogs, which can make leaving her quite difficult, but she absolutely fell in love with Freddy, who really helped her settle in.

"Can’t recommend Nicky and Ian highly enough. Our Ozzy stayed with them for a while and he loved it. He was really made to feel at home with loads of cuddles and treats, as well as long walks, sitting on the sofa and having company. He is not an easy dog, so always a concern, yet we were happy to know that he was being well cared for and safe. Now that Hounds at Home is up and running, we are already booked in for his next visit."

"Recently we asked Nicky to look after our Border Collie bitch, Spot, while we went away for a week to a family reunion where we couldn’t take her. Just before we left, Spot was unwell, and we were seriously thinking about cancelling our trip. Nicky went above and beyond, insisting that she would still look after the dog even though it meant getting up in the middle of the night a couple of times and, when Spot was still poorly, taking her to the vet. We couldn’t have wished for better care for our beloved hound, who was completely recovered when we got home. A great thankyou to Nicky, who we would wholeheartedly recommend."

"we had a 14 year old Dalmatian called Ziggy, who was completely deaf. we left her with them whilst we went away, they were fantastic with her, she was quite a nervous dog too but they understood that and she settled in so well. having a deaf dog is hard and you have to be very careful with what you do and knowing the sign language etc, and they did a amazing job with her. she was so relaxed when we returned so we knew how much she enjoyed her stay. I would definitely recommend Nikki and Ian they are amazing people and always put the animals first. We no longer have Ziggy as she sadly passed away, but we would definitely leave Defa, Ziggys best friend with them."
